Welcome to Cory Smith Studios. I've been designing custom jewelry since 1971 and have operated my current studio overlooking the Mississippi River in Genoa, WI since 1988. I am a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) gemologist. My business is listed with the Jewelers Board of Trade and I'm an active member of the Wisconsin Jewelers Association and Jewelers of America. In Paul Finchaddition to jewelry designing and goldsmithing, I do gem faceting, gem carving, gem identification, engraving, and appraisals. Mother's RingNot Your Run-of-the-Mill Mother's Ring!
This is an example of what I like to design for mother's or family rings. Instead of all gems the same size and set in a row or cluster, I like to use varying sizes and shapes and in some cases multiple stones representing parent or child. The diamond in this family ring represents a parent; the opal another parent and child; and the row of small peridots the other child.
